Player report: Ansu Fati's injury

I have been closely monitoring Ansu Fati's case for several years. His situation is a compelling example of how failing to address the root cause of an injury can create conditions for its recurrence and lead to new injuries.

At first glance, his injury history might appear to be a series of unrelated incidents. However, a more detailed analysis of various performance variables strongly suggests that his technical abilities, particularly his running mechanics, are the primary contributors to most of his injuries.

In this new report, I discuss the causes of his recent foot injury and demonstrate that his movement patterns, which have remained unchanged since childhood, are placing excessive strain on different structures in his legs. These overloads are closely linked to his running technique and other fundamental movement patterns.

As I have highlighted in several previous reports on Ansu Fati, the immediate focus should be on correcting his running techniques, both in low-intensity and sprinting scenarios. This should be prioritized above all other training goals.

In my opinion, the trajectory of his career will largely depend on his ability to minimize time spent off the field due to injury. To reduce the risk of future injuries, it is crucial that he improves his technical capacity, with a particular emphasis on enhancing his running mechanics.
